A July 4 Salute to the U.S. Air Force

It’s a visual extravaganza of the history of flight, and the U. S. Air Force. It’s worth days of your time. It’s the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, located in Dayton, Ohio. It’s the world’s largest and oldest aviation museum – and it is an extremely powerful experience.

When in Doubt, Call 911: A Lesson About Negligence

Children are the future, both for their families and for the nation. And as such, they are, in my honest opinion, the nation’s greatest resource. And like every resource that we hold dear, we need to take the utmost care of them.

In Search of the Perfect Vegan Chocolate Mousse

Salivating over the various bakery finds – from oversized carrot-cake muffins heavy with icing and thick slices of flourless chocolate cake, I came across an intriguing find: vegan chocolate mouse. Packaged in a nondescript plastic cup with a gold "VEGAN" label, I thought at best it would satisfy my sweet tooth and at worst it would taste a bit like chocolate-imbued gritty pudding.

Spain to Crown San Antonio Capital of Tapas on World Tapas Day

Summer begins Thursday, June 21. Coincidentally, that’s also “Día Mundial de la Tapa,” or “World Tapas Day.” In 2016, Spain officially declared the third Thursday of June as the special day to honor its uniquely universal dining concept.

Since then, about 20 countries, including Great Britain, Hungary, and the Philippines have joined in the celebration. In the United States, New York, Miami, and Portland have also celebrated the annual observance.

Travel Back in Time at Schloss Sigmaringen

Perched atop a steep cliff, nestled in between the town of Sigmaringen and the Danube River, Schloss Sigmaringen (Sigmaringen Castle) is a fairy tale come to life.

The brightly-colored roofs lead the eye past the surrounding mountains to the sky, in the town of Sigmaringen, located in Baden-Württemberg, southern Germany.

Story and Place in Music

When you are working on creating something, or solving a problem, or sorting out choices, travel is often a good way to give you new perspectives on what is going on, to refresh your thoughts, to give you new ideas. That is as true when you are considering day to day life or the course of world events.

Travel Blogging for Teachers and Educators

Sometimes two things don’t look as if they go together. On the surface, teaching and travelling don’t seem to be the closest of companions. To teach traditionally, you need to stay with students long enough for them to learn from you. To travel, you need to move from place to place. Not very compatible, right? But fresh ideas, inspirations, and genius come from putting together disparate ideas to make something new.
