Music for Courage and Kindness

Through times which continue to shift, there are songs and tunes which suggest connection, which remind of courage and of kindness and trust, even through dark times.

A hand reaching out, a touch on the shoulder, a reminder of connection: there are many ways music can bring these things.

Try This Awesome Coffee Maker: VSSL Nest Pour Over Kit + Java G25 Coffee Grinder Bundle

On a trip to Costa Rica, we visited a coffee plantation and my husband’s face lit up like a child on his first trip to Disney. Experiencing the journey from plant to cup firsthand was a tiny step in his love affair with coffee, the process it goes through, and the joy he gets out of chasing his perfect brew. The tour guide at that space dropped some knowledge that over a decade later is still spoken in our home, reminding us that while the world may rank coffees, “the actual best kind is your favourite kind.”

European Criminological Perspectives: A Compendium

Being able to travel the world is a great privilege and an opportunity that remains inaccessible to a significant proportion of the world’s population. Many people’s attempts to travel are curtailed by financial, social, political, and sometimes even physical barriers: having the ability to move across the globe with little resistance ought never to be taken for granted.

Addressing the Nursing Shortage in Racine: How Students Can Help

In 2025, the nationwide nursing shortage exceeded 200,000 registered nurses. This figure puts into question the U.S. medicine's ability to provide high-quality, timely, and accessible care. The reasons for the growing gap between the nursing workforce needed and available nursing staff are diverse, ranging from demographic to systemic factors. Wisconsin, and the county of Racine in particular, also mirror the national crisis, with a pronounced RN shortage on the agenda.

Bridging Time: Paris and Its Spellbinding Spans

What would the City of Light be without the poetry of its bridges? Arcing across the Seine like stone verses in a love letter to the past, the bridges of Paris offer more than a way to cross from Left Bank to Right. They are time travelers, storytellers, and sentinels, each with its own soul and saga.

Intercultural Education Through Local Festivities Abroad

The way you truly learn about a place is by walking its streets, tasting its food, and chatting with locals. But if you want to understand a culture, festivals are the place to go.

Doesn’t make sense?

Festivals aren’t meant for tourists, but for the locals. They’re a chance to celebrate what matters most to them, and these events offer a rare chance to go from an observer to part of the flow.

You’re no longer just watching culture happen, you’re inside it.

What It’s Like Being an Expat Parent in Malaysia

Malaysia has become an incredibly popular destination for many expats - especially families. Many big corporates with head offices in the UK and the US have established premises here. And to attract top talent, these corporates are offering attractive expat packages.

So it’s no big surprise that Malaysia is seeing significant growth in international schools, which also makes it a big drawcard for educators looking to teach in Malaysia.

Through the Eyes of an Educator: The benefits of connection

“Deep human connection is… the purpose and the result of a meaningful life - and it will inspire the most amazing acts of love, generosity, and humanity” - Melinda Gates

School’s out for summer! In the northern hemisphere, it’s the height of the sunshine season. Picture ice cream dripping down happy toddler faces, blue tongues from the best ice pops around, running through sprinklers, lake life and beach days, unstructured playtimes, and firefly chasing.
