Notorious for its nightlife and lazy days by the beach, it’s fair to say Cyprus has all the components for the ultimate beach break abroad. But it’s not all drinking, dancing, and daydreaming in this pocket of the Mediterranean. The Greek Island also offers a wide range of activities to sink your teeth into. So whether you’re sampling the local wine, crawling through prehistoric tombs, or exploring the diverse landscape, there are plenty of ways to soak up the Cypriot culture outside of the pubs - all while being easy on your wallet.
Dancing bananas, friendly Twinkies, and dogs on banjos - just a typical eight am to ten pm shopping day at the “Disneyland of supermarkets,” also known as Stew Leonard’s. What started out as a home dairy delivery service soon grew to include a fleet of milk trucks bearing the slogan “You moo and we’ll honk,” progressed to a small outdoor market, and, a few years later, finally became the super market well known in New England today.
The homeless man that had the brilliant idea of turning the pillbox into a public urinal clearly has a good taste in vistas, but horrible locating skills. I mean, who hikes up a steep slippery slope, and along a rough ridge, to pee? The world is a strange place...
