I love Paris. I am always looking for books About Paris. So when we got a review copy of The Adventures of Bella & Harry: Let's Visit Paris!, I was excited. This picture book was written by Lisa Manzione, who is a financial professional, children’s book author, geographic literacy advocate and mother of two children, ages 21 and 23. She also has seven dogs (three labs and four Cavalier King Charles spaniels) and two feral cats. The book is beautifully illustrated by Kristine Lucco.

Ever want to give back when traveling in the world of need? Love to take photos? Then join Dog Meets World, the photo diplomacy project and help connect cultures through the power of photography. The ambitious mission of Dog Meets World (DMW) is to give all children/families in developing countries personal photographs, often for the first time.

Have you ever noticed that it’s often much easier to spend money overseas than at home?  For instance, I had no problems spending 500 rubles for lunch in Russia (about $20 at that time), but I think twice about spending the same amount in the US.  Even the Euro – which lately has been stronger than the dollar – is easier to part with than my own home currency.

What makes foreign money different?  Or, rather, why do I react differently to spending other currencies?
