My brother, Eric Rosen, has been surfing since he was a kid growing up in South Florida. Living in New York for the past 13 years has not stopped him from doing what he loves. He once called me on his cell phone on a freezing cold New Year’s Day, walking through the streets of Manhattan with his surfboard, wearing a wet suit and breaking icicles off his hair.

Becca Cohen, a newly minted graduate of the University of Maryland in College Park heard about Dog Meets World through idealist.org. She described her interest by stating "When I was traveling in southern Africa last year as part of my study abroad time, it was incredible seeing how excited all the children would get when we took their pictures and let them see it on the digital screen. My friends and I had discussions about how these children probably didn't have pictures of themselves, and many might not even have had mirrors.
