From coast to coast, the United States is packed with exciting destinations offering a window into the world. And for those who have never had the opportunity to explore them, HI USA wants to help make it happen! That's why we created the Explore America travel scholarship, designed to help novice travelers launch their travel career right here in the United States by providing planning and financial assistance.
Launched in 2020, the Explore America travel scholarship program is offering 10 $1,000 award stipends, plus up to 7 complimentary overnights at any HI USA hostels, for recipients to explore a domestic destination of their choice. Available for individuals ages 18-30 who are not yet entertaining the idea of international travel, these scholarships have the potential to spark long-term interest in travel and cultural exploration.

• 18 - 30 years old
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident (possess a green card) or DACA recipient
