Photography Tour to Egypt

The Amateur Traveler podcast and photographer Ralph Velasco are combining to host a photographic tour of Egypt with Photo Walking Tours, instruction, image reviews & classes. All levels of photographers and non-photographers welcome

 

The journey begins in Cairo with visits to the Sphinx, Valley Temple, and the Giza Pyramids. Also included are guided visit of the National Archaeological Museum as well as Coptic Cairo and the Saladin Citadel. The tour will follow the Nile Delta to Alexandria on the Mediterranean Sea and visit the Fort of Qait, the gardens of Montaza, and the new library. The tour then follows the Mediterranean coastal road, stops in El Alamein, where two decisive battles were fought during WWII, then carries on to Marsa Matrouh, a large waterfront town with beautiful white beaches. En route back to Cairo, the tour visits one of the ancient Coptic monasteries and do some last-minute souvenir shopping at Khan-el-Khalili bazaar.

There is an optional Nile cruise extension as well.
