Stages Theatre Company Opens “Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka”
Golden Ticket Promotion Offers Sweet Treats for Theatre Seats

HOPKINS, Minn. – Stages Theatre Company (STC) is launching a golden ticket promotion to celebrate the summer show “Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka” which opens June 25 at the Hopkins Center for the Arts.

The golden ticket promotion kicks off at Mall of America when the STC cast performs scenes from “Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka” for Toddler Tuesday on June 29. The performances are at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. in the Best Buy Rotunda. Willy Wonka candy bars will be given away from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. to Toddler Tuesday attendees while supplies last.

Each candy bar features a personalized wrapper commemorating the production and includes a special offer for one free child’s ticket ($12 value) with the purchase of an adult ticket to any show during the 2010-11 season at STC. Lucky finders of the Golden Ticket will win (2) four-show season packages ($88 value) to the 2010-11 season.

“Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka” runs June 25 through the Aug. 1. To purchase tickets, please visit www.stagestheatre.org for performance dates and times, or call the Box Office at (952) 979-1111, Tuesday through Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for children (ages 5 to 17) and seniors (60+). Lap passes are available for free (ages 0 to 2) and $5 for (ages 3 to 4). The show is suitable for all ages.

Stages Theatre Company was founded in 1984 and since then has grown to become one of the largest professional theatres for young audiences in the country. We engage young artists with themes relevant to their lives and involve them in creating magical works featuring young people in meaningful roles. Through theatrical productions, workshops, conservatory classes and other outreach programs, Stages Theatre Company annually serves more than 125,000 young people and their families.
