I LOVE Steampotville. It makes me laugh, makes me search for funny things, makes me look for details, and inspires me to create my own Steampotville (which will be called mermaids-under-the-sea).
Steampotville is a new book, discovered by Steve Ouch. It shows you that you can travel anywhere in your imagination. Watch the scale - the words change on every page! And watch out for Dog Vader. And, sometimes, the animals wear costumes. At the end of the book, there are two funny parts. One is a Super-Real Hyper-Spectaculous Quite-Mesmerizing Pocket-Sized (when folded properly) Official Paper so that I am now an Official Member of Steampotville. YAY! The other is a gallery of all the animals in the book - you can make their noises (or make up new ones for them) and then find them in the book.

I love the art in this book. It is mostly a collage - very creative and so funny. The steampots sometimes are a house, and sometimes they are really cool. All of the time, I dig in and laugh and keep looking for more things to discover. There is poetry that makes you smile, and the words are shaped in funny patterns so that you can hold the book in crazy and upside down ways.
Guess what? We have possibly the funniest video on the internet - we've interviewed Steve Ouch, and...well, just watch and see:
Thanks so much, Steve! WE LOVE YOUR BOOK - and also, your interview video with us. It made me laugh, especially the POP OUT part. HA!
We highly recommend Steampotville to all of our readers, of any age. It is sure to make you smile, learn, dig in, and appreciate the whimsical world of Steampotville.
