This month we travel through the lens of Emily Adamson all the way to New Zealand. In the course of her profession, she travels to some breathtaking scenes around Queenstown, and beyond, while working with many couples and individuals. She fuses hard technical skill and years of experience with her artistic eye and vision to capture truly wonderfilled moments.

Homemade wooden kites, hot cross buns, fish cakes, and pink sandy beaches; these are the images called to mind when envisioning Good Friday celebrations on the island of Bermuda. A conservative island by nature, Good Friday traditions live on here. School children spend weeks constructing their kites; the more traditional, the better.

One of the truisms in education, all around the world, is that educators will have students of differing abilities in their classroom. And it is often the most efficient use of a teacher’s time to teach to the lowest common denominator in order to reach everyone. I was an oft-neglected high-ability learner, bored with school, yet eager to learn as much as I could. Self-directed learning wasn’t really discussed, critical thinking skills came along in college (oh, what I could have done with learning that years earlier!), and I often wished I could learn more, more, more each day.
