We LOVE Thai food. Whenever we travel, we always try to find the Best Thai food around. On a recent trip to Chicago, we were very lucky to find the Best Thai Restaurant in Chicago! and...it was right near our vacation rental condo, on the Magnificent Mile!

Dao Thai Restaurand and Noodle Palace

Dao Thai Restaurant and Noodle Palace is located on 230 E. Illinois, just two blocks east of Michigan Avenue, and a few blocks west of Lake Michigan.  It has excellent location, and is open 7 days a week. Dao Thai also delivers to select areas, if you don't want to deal with traffic.

There are two kinds of seating inside - at tables, and with platform seating (fun!), as well as an outdoor patio that I am sure is bustling in good weather.

It is beautifully decorated with Thai artifacts and deep, rich colors.

The best part? THE FOOD!! It is fresh, delicious, and very inexpensive. You can order your entrees to your desired heat/spice (I am a no-flames eater, while my husband goes for the maximum heat possible). We ordered (of course) Pad Thai, which was one of the best Pad Thai dishes I have ever eaten. We also ordered a lovely Bamee and BBQ Pork dish, which was overflowing with fresh ingredients. If I had had room, I'd have gotten the Ajard (cucumber salad)  or Goong Hoor (shrimp in blankets). The menu is quite extensive, and nothing is priced over $7.25. For being right in downtown Chicago, this is incredible pricing.
