Emily Meader, phodographer from Newcastle, Maine is taking off a year to be serve as a volunteer for MaD for Good in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

This organization works in partnership with rural Cambodian communities to empower individuals, families and villages to build themselves a sustainable future free from poverty.

Emily brought the Dog Meets World, photo diplomacy project to practice Take & Give Photography with Foto, the stuffed dog ambassador, to a local school. She took pictures for over 150 students and for many it was their first photo.

Emily believes that a photograph of oneself is a powerful affirmation and acknowledgment at a most fundamental level. Join the Dog Meets World movement and become a phodographer.
