Oh dear! Another chance to blog online?

For some reason I didn't realize there was blog space for me on Wandering Educators but now that I do, here's a full disclosure:

I don't get chances to wander much. Not in the real world. Armchair traveler here though not by choice. The trips I do make are reserved for family occasions such as weddings (Sept 2008), births, birthdays, and holidays.

So with the winter holidays upon us, I am happy to announce a family get-together in a new town - my daughter-and-family have recently moved to a different town in Tennessee.

Moving their residence from Knoxville to Johnson City, which is near the Virginia border, has brought them deeper within the valleys and peaks of the Appalachian Range, a very lovely region of the country.

So if winter weather cooperates, my son and daughter-in-law in Raleigh, NC, and myself from Athens, GA will be converging upon Johnson City, TN during the fourth week of December, 2008.

And although I love mountain landscapes with the best of them, I'm sure you can imagine that seeing Christmas joy reflected upon a three-year-old's face will be the highlight of my December visit!
