Today over on my home blog I am writing about the passing of Michelangelo Buonarroti on February 18, 1564.  He was an elderly and much beloved figure by the end of his life.  The city of Rome loved and celebrated him.  He had dear friends who cared for him.  And he sculpted and wrote until his very last days.

He died surrounded by friends in his home in Rome at the age of 89.
