Vacationers have enjoyed coming to Moabi Regional Park, on the banks of the Colorado River, for years.  Now they will have even more reasons to enjoy sunning and playing in the area’s cool blue waters.

Beginning May 20th, Pirate Cove Resort will unveil its new additions at Moabi Regional Park, ready for Memorial Day vacationers to enjoy.  The new features include a full service restaurant, Pirate Cove Grille, a beach bar, two bedroom/two bath beautifully furnished waterfront cabin rentals, and RV rentals for those who want to camp but do not want the cost of driving their trailer or recreational vehicle long distances.

Currently, Pirate Cove operates a convenience store, beach boutique, boat rentals and dry storage on the premises of Moabi Regional Park.  The new elements are sure to bring more fun-loving water enthusiasts to the area.  ”The new Pirate Cove Resort additions will not only add over 70 full time jobs to the area, but also bring a much deserved beachside destination to one of the most beautiful areas of the Colorado River. It will be truly spectacular,” said Rob Smith, Director of Sales and Marketing, Pirate Cove Resort.

Moabi lies on the banks of the Colorado River eleven miles south of Needles.  It is a short distance to the scenic Topock Gorge, approximately 26 miles south of Lake Havasu and directly across the river from Laughlin, NV.   A unique feature of the park is its peninsula camping with waterfront views; putting the guest only a few hundred feet from swimming and water sport fun.  The park has a 7-lane boat launch and marina.  Additionally there is inland camping with and without full hook-ups, grills, picnic areas and coin operated laundry facilities.  There are even mobile home sites available.  Visitors to Moabi enjoy a variety of water sports including boating, jet and water skiing, kayaking, canoeing and swimming.  For the fishermen, there is a bait shop conveniently located on the premises.   Laughlin, NV, known for its Vegas-style gaming and entertainment offerings,  is only a 38 mile drive from the park giving the vacationing guest a variety of options for a relaxing, recreational experience.
