When you think New York City, what comes to mind first? Central Park, of course (or, if you’re our daughter, Central Perk, and THEN Central Park). 

One of our national treasures, Central Park was our nation’s first public park – and has remained free since its creation.

Marie is passionate about travel and languages. She is studying Translation, Interpretation, and Intercultural Management in Paris. She speaks French, Spanish, and English fluently and is currently learning Italian and Breton. Marie’s goal is to speak as many languages as possible, mostly learning them by travelling around the world.

Travelling with an older family member can be a great experience, particularly when it is a trip that you all have wanted to do for some time. Although travelling with older people might not necessarily consist of mountain trekking, scuba diving, or a whole list of extreme sports, it can be a really fun time, especially on an inter-generational trip with their grandkids. However, if you are travelling with older people, you might have to think more carefully about what you need to pack.

Steve Moraco believes students should get to travel the world instead of sitting in lecture halls and going into debt. He founded the Abroad Academy to support, encourage, and inform students who want to travel. It works by equipping students with the skills, mindset, and resources they need to receive scholarships, garner social support, and practice persistence as they work toward their goals.

Amanda is a Master's student from Chicago, studying English as a Foreign Language in France. She began learning French at the age of 13, and fell in love with the language and the culture. Amanda studied in France twice during her undergraduate studies. While she doesn’t have a specific career path in mind, she does know that she wants to work in multiple languages and with people from around the world.
