Ever want to give back when traveling in the world of need? Love to take photos? Then join Dog Meets World, the photo diplomacy project and help connect cultures through the power of photography. The ambitious mission of Dog Meets World  (DMW) is to give all children/families in developing countries personal photographs, often for the first time. DMW seeks to change the way people see others and rather than simply taking pictures, to give them as well. You've got a digital camera, just add a portable printer and the stuffed Foto mascot dog and practice Take & Give Photography!

We've discovered an extraordinary way to learn more about the world. Iconic Guides is an excellent resource for travelers to learn about the Ancient World. Currently, Iconic Guides offers a plethora of audio guides to Egypt, Japan, and Greece. With so many fascinating options to choose from, it was hard to pick! (check back in two weeks for a review of the Acropolis Iconic Guide). Naturally, all three of these places are on our to-visit list, and I am happy to have found Iconic Guides!

The Great Pyramid of king Khufu on the desert plateau at Giza is the sole surviving link back to the early lists of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world, first composed by such luminaries as the Greek historian Herodotus, the poet Antipater of Sidon and the famous architect Callimachus of Cyrene. Long since lost to humanity, these early sightseeing suggestions had been a fertile source for the first-ever guidebooks written, and used, by Greek travellers in classical antiquity.

Floating Through Fall - Prior Lake, Minnesota

A hot air balloon floats through the early morning fall sunrise in Minnesota.  The most colorful time of the year comes and goes quickly, so you must catch it when you can.  My vantage point was from inside the balloon, which provided an aerial feast for the eyes.  It was worth the early morning wake up call for these colors!
