#StudyAbroadBecause It's A Great Possibility

My name is Lea, and I was a foreign exchange student in high school at the age of 16. I was born in Central Europe, where I have spent the majority of my life. I have a blog, where I talk about many things, but also about student life and my exchange year. In case you would like to know more about my experience, besides this interview, you can find some of my posts on this topic on StudyHealthy.org

#StudyAbroadBecause it will expand your world

Hi, I'm Emily!  I'm currently a junior in college studying Spanish and Education.  In preparing to study abroad in Mexico last spring, I noticed there isn't a ton of information out there from people who have studied abroad in Latin America, so when I got back, I started my blog, Emily Abroad, to share my experience. I post practical tips and tricks, travel diaries highlighting our excursions to different parts of Mexico, and personal reflections on my experience.

See the World as a Traveling English Teacher

For young, native English speakers who dream of seeing the world, teaching English abroad is a great way to earn money while traveling and experiencing other cultures. You can use your salary from teaching to fund periods of travel, take jobs in various countries to experience different cultures, or both - all while gaining teaching experience that can help you continue a teaching career at home. Even if you anticipate changing careers someday, teaching experience abroad can look great on your resume and create greater lifelong career opportunities.

Make a Plan Before Going to Teach Abroad

Have you ever thought about teaching abroad? Teaching abroad will offer you the opportunity to fuel two of your passions: travel and helping people learn. Get your certificate and start looking for a job, because your students are waiting for you.

But before buying your airplane ticket, make sure you have done your research, and you are sure that this is what you want to do for the next chapter of your life.
