What To Do, See, And Eat In Frankenmuth, Michigan’s Little Bavaria

This summer, my husband and I were visiting Michigan for a wedding. We decided to visit two places that our daughter has never been to that we thought she would absolutely love: Frankenmuth…and of course, Mackinac Island!

Read This: 100 Things to Do in Holland, Michigan Before You Die

Have you been to Holland, Michigan yet? A small town located on Michigan's Sunset Coast, Holland was, obviously, settled by Dutch immigrants. The landscape resembles the Netherland (aka Holland), and the settlers brought a rich array of culture, food, and tulips with them.

Interested in learning more? Of course! I've got a GREAT read to recommend!

Postcard from Onekama, Michigan

Tucked at the far end of a narrow road winding through crystal clear lake and towering sand dunes is my favorite of Michigan's countless local treasures. Portage Point Beach, officially known as Captain John Langeland Park, is located in the village of Onekama.

Long a summer resort area, this beach is prized by locals and visitors alike for its gorgeous light colored sand, gentle swimming area, small lighthouse at the end of a pier (let the fishing commence!), and scenic views of enormous sand dunes along the northern shore.
