After staying in Michigan for the summer, just moving one hour every other week or so, my family was ready to move on... until we heard that our very good friends, the Keiters, were heading our direction.

Despite its small size, New Zealand has a variety of different terrains. One minute you could be driving by forests, full of indigenous Cabbage Trees and Nikau palms (the southernmost member of the palm family, it is unique to New Zealand). Next, you might find yourself passing snow-capped mountains, or cruising along the coast.

It seems that everyone’s going to Koh Samui these days, and raving about it. An island in Thailand (actually, the second largest island, after Phuket), Koh Samui has beautiful white sandy beaches, coral reefs, and Plenty of coconut trees.
You see them all over America. You barely have to drive ten miles in most places to find them: railroad tracks. Most tracks you cross today are weed-free, frequently-used tracks. But, occasionally, you'll find a set of rusty, overgrown, dilapidated tracks, obviously not in use. Sometimes, there will even be old, unused cars still sitting on the tracks.

I was staring the ceiling of the Museo di San Marco, Basilica di San Marci, located in the Piazza di San Marco, on the Isle di San Marco in Venice, Italy, and longing for some gelato. Despite being surrounded by the excited voices of fellow tourists, I was completely uninterested in the wonders around me. That’s when I heard a creak.
