#StudyAbroadBecause A Global Perspective Is A Better Perspective

Caroline Macomber is a nomadic travel writer working on both Freakinflyers.com and Travelisfree.com with her husband. Derrynane House, Co Kerry, Ireland

One of the things we loved most about staying in one place while we were in Ireland was the chance to get to know our "neighborhood." While we were in Ireland last month, We stayed only 4 miles from Caherdaniel, home of "the Liberator" - Daniel O'Connell (1775-1847).

Bunratty Castle Mews B&B

We're so excited to share where we'll be staying on our VERY last night in Ireland. Where else, but the Bunratty Castle Mews B&B? It's a traditional B&B in Bunratty on the Low road only 5 minutes from Shannon Airport, run by the VERY friendly Dolores and Garry O' Toole. When I called Dolores to make arrangements, it was as if I was talking with an old friend. We can't wait to come stay!

Traveling with a Mobility Disability in Ireland and Scotland

As a traveler with disabilities, I am well-aware of the challenges of traveling - and the great rewards! There are many more things to think of as a traveler with disabilities - access, transportation, cultural views of disability, and more. I am always learning the hard way, it seems, about both written and unspoken rules of disability travel, 23 years after my accident!
