We’ve just returned from an Epic Canadian Road Trip, driving from our home in Kalamazoo, Michigan all the way out to St. John’s, Newfoundland (yes, a ferry was involved). Why? Well, I’m the co-founder of Writing Walking Women, and we chose St.

Where to stay in Kusadasi, Turkey

Whether you visit Kuşadası as part of a trip to history-rich Ephesus (Efes), take the ferry in from Samos, Greece, from visiting the house of the Virgin Mary, from exploring Sirince, or as a destination in itself, there’s much to see and do. Kuşadası is located on Turkey’s Aegean coast, on a bay. There is a large marina, and the peninsula of Güvercin Adasi (Pigeon Island) is a visual highlight, sporting an ancient fortress.

5 of the World‘s Most Kid-Friendly Hotels

While preparing for a trip abroad with children, you must be not only very responsible choosing the direction of travel, but also the place where you are going to stay too. If the primary goal is to change the family environment, rest from the routine and you are planning to spend most of the time at the hotel, the choice where to stay becomes even more necessary.

The Best Place to Stay in San Francisco

One look out my window, and there was no mistaking where I was. The early morning sun was playing hide and seek with the clouds and buildings. I lay there watching the light show thinking, I MUST GET UP.  The sun was shining and I was in San Francisco, one of the most beautiful cities in the world - but I did not want to get out of my bed. You may be thinking I had a wee bit too much wine the night before, or perhaps there was another, more seductive reason to linger. But no, it was the bed itself that wooed me.

Where to Stay - and Eat - in Miramichi, New Brunswick

Where to Stay - and Eat - in Miramichi, New Brunswick

Nestled alongside the Miramichi River in (you guessed it) Miramichi, New Brunswick is a treasured hotel, and a genius restaurant. I had no idea, when we pulled up to the long (very long!) yellow building fronting the river, that such goodness would await us inside.
