Jordan Johnson is a recent graduate from the University of Pittsburgh, where she majored in Linguistics, and Communication and Rhetoric while studying Spanish and Arabic. She completed a six-week study abroad in San Jose, Costa Rica with the Center for Latin American Studies [CLAS], an internship with the Arts and Sciences Advising Center, and did research with the Linguistics department at Pitt.

How to get ready for an internship program

Finding great summer internships can help your career in a plethora of ways. You can make excellent contacts, learn how to work in a business setting, ascertain if this is a good fit for you, gain knowledge about your chosen field, and more. Some students try to fit in summer internships in their summers before they graduate, so that they have a broad range of experience and contacts when they start their job search.

Cassidy Davis is a recent graduate from the University of Pittsburgh, where she received two degrees, one in Communication and one in Digital Media. She also graduated with a Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies certificate and a minor in Theater. She has spent all three of her summers in college interning in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles. She first interned for Susie Farris Casting, and then worked for CBS for two summers.

Dancing to Success at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre

Originally from Long Island, New York, Aimee DiAndrea moved to Pittsburgh in 2003. Aimee has been surrounded by the arts from the age of three. She trained in ballet with companies such as American Ballet Theatre, San Francisco Ballet, Hungarian National Ballet, and Miami City Ballet. Aimee spent her last two high school years away from home, training at North Carolina School of the Arts, where she majored in ballet. After graduating high school, Aimee spent over three years training and dancing with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre.

Time is Your Greatest Commodity: Interview with a Nonprofit Professional

Dave Coplan is the Executive Director of the Human Services Center and Director of the Mon Valley Providers Council. The Human Services Center was honored as the recipient of the 2004 Wishart Award for Excellence in Nonprofit Management awarded by The Forbes Funds of The Pittsburgh Foundation. In 2012, Dave was the inaugural recipient of the statewide CAAP Sargent Shriver Community Service Award.

Jason Davison will graduate in 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Minors in Spanish and Linguistics from the University of Pittsburgh. He currently serves as a House Manager at the William Pitt Union Building on campus as well as serves as the Secretary and Social Chair of Omicron Delta Kappa. Rachel Bukowitz is a sociology and environmental studies major at the University of Pittsburgh. She interned at the Israeli Wildlife Hospital during the summer of 2014 where her responsibilities focused on caring for sick and injured animals [primarily young ones in the nursery] and then releasing the animals back into the wild.
