Exploring the Great Outdoors in Muskoka, Ontario, Canada

Muskoka is a beautiful place to live and visit, known for its beautiful landscapes, sunsets, and waterways. We all know traveling and entertainment in cottage country can be pricey. I’d like to show you three beautiful parks you can enjoy for the day...absolutely free! I’ve been fortunate enough to call Bracebridge my home for the past 10 years. All three of these nature spots are located within a 15-minute drive of downtown Bracebridge, right in the heart of Muskoka.

Story in the Snow at the National Elk Refuge, Wyoming

Snow can reveal the mysterious lives of critters in the night.

These tracks were made by elk. The tracks indicate that elk were zig-zagging through the snow, digging for vegetation buried beneath.

Introducing Kids to our Ocean Creatures Just Might Save our Oceans!

I have spent a lifetime in, and around, the ocean. When I am not in or at the ocean, I am thinking about the ocean! After 30 years of diving, I have seen the damage that global warming, trash, and especially plastic have wrought. Realizing that our oceans and coral reefs are in trouble, I am not alone in wondering how we can reach people and make the change that is needed so desperately. How can we make them care? So far, we have not been able to excite people to make change.
