I love to travel - and to be inspired to travel. There are many ways to get inspired - Pinterest, books, magazines, websites - and cookbooks. Oh yes, most definitely cookbooks - because one of my favorite things to do while traveling is eat well!
You’ve been working overtime in the classroom all year, and now that it’s summer (providing you don’t have any summer classes to teach), it’s time to stretch your wings and fly.

Turkey is a country that offers a lot in the way of cultural experiences, and it’s an extremely inexpensive vacation destination. There’s also the option to teach in Turkey and this is a great way to immerse yourself in the country and be paid whilst there.
Are there places nearby that you’ve always intended to visit with your kids but you haven’t? I know the feeling. Even though we’ve lived in northeast Ohio for several years, there are still plenty of places we’ve heard about but never gone.

Born and raised in Michigan, I've always known our state is special. But I didn't know Quite How Special until I read Oddball Michigan: A Guide to 450 Really Strange Places, by Jerome Pohlen. This guide is both hilarious and surprising.
When I was 9, I slept over at the amazing AMNH (American Museum of Natural History), located in New York City. It was incredible, but I’m sure very overwhelming for the parents and staff, because hundreds of kids were running all over the place like crazy, uncontrolled flying squirrels.
